Book a free personalized one-on-one session today! The Osterville Village Library offers computer and other personal electronic device assistance in the form of one-on-one tech help sessions.

Scheduled sessions run between 30 min to 1 hour depending on staffing and need. Sessions are limited to 2 a month per patron.

Some topics we cover include:
  • Downloading library eBooks, audiobooks, music, and magazines to your tablet, smartphone, or laptop
  • Navigating databases and other library resources such as Ancestry and learningexpress.com
  • Using the Internet, e-mail, and cloud computing
  • Training in our Library Apps such as Overdrive, Axis 360 & Clams
  • Setting up and using social media like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Assistance setting up an email account
  • Help formatting a Word document

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
  • Please arrive with a clear goal of what you would like to learn.
  • Please arrive with all the necessary passwords needed to access your device or accounts.
  • Be sure to bring in any device you need help with. If necessary, we can provide PC laptops with Windows 7, 8 or 10, Mac laptop, and iPad for demonstration.
We are unable to troubleshoot or fix malfunctioning devices, take apart or replace physical parts on a device, or participate in credit card transactions.
